UAV-Based and WebRTC-Based Open Universal Framework to Monitor Urban and Industrial Areas

Nowadays, we are observing a rapid development of UAV-based monitoring systems, which faced with more and new tasks, such as high temporal resolution spatial measurements, or Artificial Intelligence on board. This paper presents the open universal framework intended for fast prototyping building short series specialized flying systems able to work in urban industrial areas. The proposed combines mobility UAV IoT measurements full-stack WebRTC communications. offers simultaneous transmission both real-time video stream flow data coming from sensors, ensures kind protection flow, leads preserving its near-real-time character enables contextual communication. Addition AI accelerator hardware makes this system AI-ready, i.e., communication hub, is air component our system, perform tasks AI-supported computing. exemplary prototype was evaluated terms ability fast-response resolutions, information poor visibility conditions AI-readiness.
